Cardamom Pods

Cardamom is native to the Indian subcontinent and is primarily grown in countries such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Cardamom pods offer several notable benefits:

Digestive Aid: Cardamom is known for its digestive properties, helping to relieve indigestion, bloating, and gas by stimulating the production of digestive enzymes.

Fresh Breath: Chewing on cardamom pods or consuming cardamom-infused beverages can help freshen breath and alleviate oral malodor due to its pleasant aroma and antimicrobial properties.

Antioxidant Content: Rich in antioxidants, cardamom pods help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals, reducing the risk of chronic diseases and promoting overall health.

Anti-inflammatory Effects: Cardamom contains compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, which may help reduce inflammation in the body and alleviate symptoms of inflammatory conditions like arthritis.

Directions: add one teaspoon of cardamom to hot water. Steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain and enjoy.  

TIP: Crush the cardamom pods first before steeping for heightened flavor!
