Wild cherry bark is often used as a soothing tea during the dry winter months. 

Some potential benefits of wild cherry bark include:

Cough Relief: Wild cherry bark has been historically used as an expectorant, helping to loosen phlegm and relieve coughs. It contains compounds such as cyanogenic glycosides, which have cough-suppressant properties.

Respiratory Support: Due to its ability to help with coughs and promote expectoration, wild cherry bark is often used in herbal remedies for respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma, and other respiratory tract infections.

Antioxidant Properties: Wild cherry bark contains antioxidants, such as flavonoids and phenolic compounds, which can help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body and reduce oxidative stress.

Anti-inflammatory Effects: Some research suggests that wild cherry bark may possess anti-inflammatory properties, which could be beneficial for conditions involving inflammation, such as arthritis or sore throat.

Directions: add one teaspoon of wild cherry bark root to hot water. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and enjoy.
